The case of the cheating, all-seeing AI

...is still an issue.

AI cheats, sees everything, including hidden troops. This issue continues to exist since the very first Wargame - and this is more of an issue now that in previous titles, considering how important armor is. Nothing is more annoying than your hidden/ambushing 76mm sherman or Panther gets sniped because the AI sneaks an AT gun you can't see, and pens it from the front.

The fact that a unit blinks doesn't mean it is hidden, just that it is in cover and gains a concielment​ bonus. But a recon might be seeing you.
AI plays with the same tools a player has : the Frontline to orientate the threat and recon to identify it.

The AI still gets availability and income bonuses though, right?

Only if you set it in the higher levels of difficulty.

If you play 1v3 the player alone will get 3 times the availability but medium AI don't get any bonus unless you've faced a strange and unexpected bug.

I thought it was the Easy AI that didn't get any bonuses because when I was repeatedly bashing my head against the wall that medium AI was when I bought the game they definitely seemed to have way more units than what I would expect.

Edit: Nevermind I counted the initial stuff from my very first game from long ago and it was exactly 500 points.

My Impression that the AI was getting more units than it should until I checked the replays was due to the frontline moving towards me way too much back then, but now I realize it was just me not being too used to the pathfinding and good spots to move troops to.
