Any chance of eugen doing a wargame from musket or ancient era?

Postby Destraex » Tue 23 Jan 2018 07:27

I am having daydreams of bringing on regiments in a wargame map. A more advanced total war/total war arena/ultimate general.

Anybody else ever thought about this?

I must confess a napoleonic version of Wargame has been on my mind though i imagine it would leave a lot of the wargame crowd pretty cold given the rather muted reception to steel division and the general lack of existing community enthusiasm for anything non cold war.

Though it would also give the community the opportunity to accuse Eugen of proper French bias again (cuirassier op baker rifle buff plox etc) 8-)
I hope your buratino's die screaming.

If they could pull that off WW1 wouldn't be that far fetched either.

A Steel Division Napoléonic War ? ;) Waterloo, Wagram...many uniform, many units...Templar team play NTW3, historical mod of Napoléon Total War. Very Nice, same spirit to Steel Division for realistic action et human reactions

I'm dreaming about (and lobbying for) it since 10 years I've been working here.
So, stand in line ... :)

As cool as that would be, I could see a problem in it being too much like Total War. Not necessarily a bad thing though.

A WW2 naval strategy game would be cool especially if we go into what if say the French fleet deploying to the far east to counter Japan.

I'd love some more diverse Wargame, especially considering the first game got attention from being diverging than the overload of nothing but WW2/Ultra-modern games.
