I updated my mod to the newest version using the updatemod.bat, added a copule textures, generated it and tried to upload the changes, but the mod doesn't update, instead a new mod with the same name is created in the workshop. If I do it multiple times, multiple new copies will be created.
I didn't change the name or anything in the config file, I only have one local mod folder.
Uploading a mod creates a copy of it instead of updating
Re: Uploading a mod creates a copy of it instead of updating
After the upload on steam, ModGen modifies your mod config.ini, changing the "ID" field. Could you check the value for your mod? If after a succeeded upload, the value is still 0, please check if the file is locked.
Re: Uploading a mod creates a copy of it instead of updating
ID is indeed 0 after uploading a copy.
What do you mean by locked? If "read-only", it's not.

Re: Uploading a mod creates a copy of it instead of updating
ModGen seems to be working correctly. You can fix the problem by replacing the 0 by your mod's Steam ID.
Re: Uploading a mod creates a copy of it instead of updating
What is happening is when you run GenerateMod.bat it is creating a new config.ini file and overwriting your old one so if you don't back that up and keep your SteamID for your mod then go back and reedit the config.ini with that info it will upload a new copy of your mod every time now you run generatemod.bat.
