Mod won't upload properly

Postby LimaHotel807 » Tue 24 Oct 2017 04:18

My mod won't upload properly when I open the UploadMod.bat inside my mod folder. As far as I know, I'm not doing anything wrong. I created the mod using the CreateNewMod.bat and then I opened up the mod folder and generated it with GenerateMod.bat. Then I changed what I wanted to change and saved it and then when I use the UploadMod.bat there's no errors. I check the Workshop and the mod is there but when I subscribed to it to check what was uploaded and what wasn't all that was uploaded was the Config.ini. I'm getting really frustrated and rapidly losing interest in modding this game. I'd really appreciate some help.

Hi LimaHotel807,

If I understand correctly you:
  • Generate the mod
  • Modify files to create your mod
  • Upload the mod

Would you mind trying this way:
  • Modify files to create your mod
  • Generate the mod
  • Upload the mod

This should solve your issue.
What is your mod bringing to the game?

Don't I need to generate the mod first? I'll give it a try.

Hi LimaHotel807,

This message is telling you that one of the new descriptors you've added has the same GUID than one of ours. To get rid of this error please generate a new GUID using any GUID-generator like : https://www.guidgenerator.com/

Yes, you're right. I figured it out not long after posting the log lol.
