10v10 always sucked because it never was more than a clown game type.... it only provided flavour but not necessarily iproving the game itself.

Yeah, but it’s really popular among players so they should at least try to improve it.

People like it, and even if it’s mechanically worse than the regular game sizes, people don’t exactly play them for the fine tune balance anyway.

You can address the mechanics by making sure the maps are large enough that each person is basically playing 1v1 or 1v2 on their section of the map.

For some unknown reason, we only got one 10v10 map for SD and the rest of the maps were simply too small to support 10v10........... but of course, that's what most 10v10 servers used because of variety. The mechanics on something like Colombelles 10v10 were completely shot and made the game significantly less fun to play.

Colombelles, Carpiquet and Pegasus Bridge were the most played 10v10s actually :)

I'm sure they were considering you had only one 10v10 map. Doesn't mean they were worth a damn to play.

I can only speak from my and my friend's experiences but the smaller maps on 10v10 simply weren't fun which is why we stopped playing. I imagine the 10-20 of us were not alone in the wider community which surely contributed to the player count tanking so quickly.

Let’s hope Eugen did their homework and the sequel fares better
