Just played a multiplayer game where an AT gun crew instantly hid after being pinned. However an AT gun once spotted should not be able to do this. The crew maybe but not the gun. The gun should be destroyed and the crew survive or the gun abandoned in pinned situations. Of course the player can choose to leave the AT gun pinned and keep the crew with it OR recrew any guns that are not destroyed after being abandoned.
I am not suggesting the crew of the AT gun then become useful for anything. Just that AT guns act a little more realistically and less frustratingly.

AT guns are already barely viable as AT platform, as they lack stealth and artillery/airpower is still way too responsive.
