Whats wrong with this guys? They look like been modeled in 1941. not in 2019
I understand that this game is not about single units but really HOW models like this can be presented in ANY game in 2019.
Creating of decks and enjoying your arsenal is very important part of the game. But in arsenal we meet this terrific guys >_<

Next...I have some question about units icons. Look at this and please help me to answer next questions

1. Why at background picture of soviet OGNEMETCHIKI we can see nazi... with grenade?
1.1 Why titles like OGNEMETCHIKI and AVTOMATCHIKI wasnt localized in russian for people who use russian version of the game?
2. Why this mortar so lonely? Best representation of the unit :)
3. Why machine guns MAXIM and SG have same background picture but different faces in front?
3.1 Why all anti-tanks infantry have background picture with panzerschreck
4. Why different vehicles pictured from different sides in different colors and different landscapes? because they belong different groups of units? but you have small icon for it and different tabs where this units placed. This different styles look bad especially when units from different groups meet in one tab (
5.Why the shadow in hangar fell directly over selected unit and split it to dark and light side? )) it's not too easy to see something on shadow side

Can I believe that units icons (especially infantry) will be fixed till release?
Or maybe this ugly guys with hands-donuts can be replaced by good models with good textures.
Really both of this aspects of the game look much better in Normandy 44. Its very sad an frustrating for me

I also have a lot of WHY about historically accuracy of modeling and coloring units. Next time.

#1 - Because background are generic. This one is for "assault engineers" and is the same for German, Soviet, British, American, Hungarian, ... troops.
#1.1 - Names aren't translated, they are the same for every player ... or no one will ever understand each other on the forums. :)
#2 - I can agree with that ... not my call. :(
#3 - Same as #1, MG background is generic and represent all MGs. German MG-42 have this background too.
#3.1 - ditto
#4 - Different categories, different settings. In order to easily recognize a transport from a combat vehicles, for example.
#5 - I don't understand ...

For five, I believe he is saying that a shadow happened to fall across at unit in the hanger so that one side of the unit was in the light, while the other was in the shade. He just didn't like how the shadow fell across the unit pretty much.

Sorry, but it is not the answer. It is just excusing.
It looks like postcard or banner "Congrats with the Victory!" with Nazis on it.
And it is flub! Especially if we talk about the historical game.

In Normandy 44 was good unit icons.
Icons were rather similar sometimes, but I don't remember flubs like this.

Unit icons and naming are really good, both russian and german. Im native speaker of the first and know the other one pretty well.

Infantry models could be bit better yeah.

I mean it has been this way (generic background art) since Wargame: European Escalation.
