You want me to Pre-Order???

Where is the New Information that we were Promised???

I'd be more than willing to Pre-Order, as I have for all of your games (even back with RUSE), but there hasn't been any new info nor a new video. Also, no pre-order on STEAM???

Can we have some insight on the Multiplayer System??? Are we going the AutoMatch Way (please!!!) or just going for another Community Dividing System? Or... Something New and Original? How about the RUSE system... that was 10 times better than any of the Wargame models.

What will the New Campaign System comprise of... what Units/Armies are we getting on release?

Thank you...

I love you Guys... you guys have created some of my favorite games to date... but I just feel that this one has been under the radar :(

3 Things that I think we all need some more info on:

1. Campaign - the GIFs are nice, but lets actually see some video or even a Dev Blog with sequenced pictures/videos
2. Multiplayer - I've harped beyond harping about a MM or AutoMatch Standard (akin to all games now... just jump in, select MP, and get an opponet that is similar in skill); One that has a ranking system that goes both up and down and isn't based on the Hours one plays
3. Gameplay Video... Gameplay Video... Gameplay Video; even a 1 minute video of someone playing so I can see any UI changes or Anything.

Thank you!!!

Steam has a policy that doesn’t allow you to preorder a game this early before release, which is why there isn’t one yet. The current preorder will still give you a Steam key later. Eugen elaborates on preorder questions here.

More details will simply come with time.

I feel bad saying this, but it feels like a rip-off (Let's be honest it's most probably not, Eugen delivers when it comes to quality).
But so far we have had an announcement for the game, then Gamescon following which we had a serie of review in which journalist seemingly had a lot of trouble reporting correctly on what they had seen (there seemed to have been a huge confusion between RTS battles and dynamic campaign, at least in the articles).
Then nothing until a (welcome) dev-diary on the dynamic campaign, and finally without any further intels it's pre-order time, without having seen any gameplay footage of the RTS battle, and very few footage in the form of gifs from the campaign. Even though I believe the game will be good (to be honest an update of SD44 with new units from the eastern European front is good enough considering how I enjoyed SD44 and how I believe there will be some mechanics updates), I BELIEVE it, because I have absolutely no proof.

And honestly it looks bad for any person not knowing the company and its games, I would never commit to buy a game with so little information. And if it looks so bad for an outsider, I think only accustomed player will pre-order this game based on their knowledge of Eugen's game, but then appealing to them in such a "lacking" way (assuming they will pre-order with that little information, just because they believe they'll like the game), is almost like treating them like cows you are milking. I absolutely does not accuse you of doing such things, it's just what it looks like.

Especially with the lack of PR work around the game, I know the forum is "quiet" (it's almost dead to be honest), but maybe you should try to engage the player base more, like it was done for W:AB and W:RD, maybe starting again with "units of the day", which are lot less demanding than publishing a dev-diary and which would provide decent content on the forum, at least to keep the forum somewhat lively and maybe entice some people to come once more and interact on this board, but if you keep publishing once every month, the board will be forever dead, and I fear the game will fail hard.

So please try to revive the board, try to engage us. Because so far it feels like the game isn't even out of pre-alpha and we are asked to pre-order, based on the information we have.
I trust you to make a good game, but please try to do what I (and a fair chunk of the wargame community, I believe) loved so much in W:RD, interaction with the community and passion for the topic.

As I said it pains me to write this post but I hope you'll take something good out of it in the end.

Will I be charged immediately for the pre-order or will my money only be deducted when the game is ready to launch/ship into the Beta stage(or final production stage)?

Thanks

In an old way, you contest the wrong people.

Eugen is without publisher, (or only for other game), has in comparison to other games a few advantages, you know pretty good what comes, and its not difficult to assume, what they do.

You dont get a lot, if you dont take the information, that you already have anyways.

The people who not inform, have to trust into the blind. But you can inform and can pretty100% determine, what eugen does. Its really not that hard.

I think this is a no-brainer.

If you get caught, in the fishermans net, dont even start to escape - you get no game and you lost the one before.

I think the time has passed. Its not a big thing. Only the people, who are not standing on themselves, will give us a nice circus of despotism, whereever this will happen.
I think that the true things, that are done, inside of players and inside of eugen systems - its the inside, that will decide this year, and the next, and the real things. Everything else falls off.

If you want - I have a net for you. To hold you

Hello Darkmil!

Do not worry we have plans to engage the community more as we get closer to the release.
We are already working on the next Dev Diaries as well :)

Moreover, we understand fully that some people want to have more information about the game and they will definitely have all their questions answered before the end of the Pre-Order period ;)

We do not doubt you have more information... and more videos... and more Dev. Diaries, however, it is odd that you have already gone to PRE-ORDER Status without anthing more than a 4 Month Old Announcment Trailer.
