You have to push back release

Postby deamonstorm » Wed 22 Feb 2012 19:04

I have been speaking with many people on the game and so far, 90% of people are trying for hours to get a game without crashing. You cant release tomorrow with the game in this state. I cant see any other option than to delay the release. If you release like this, your game will get a bad name very quickly.

I dont know what is causing the crash, but everyone I have spoken to is up to date now, but they are still crashing when trying to start a game. We think if a person leaves a lobby, it might bug the entire game. But again, we cant be sure about that.

Please, hold off on the release, dont kill the game before its even had a chance to get started.

We confirmed that last night, if someone joins your lobby and leaves the game will not load properly. The devs are aware of it and I thought they released a fix...I havent tried playing today though. As long as you recreate the game if someone leaves then you should be able to play a game. They said its an easy fix so im certain it will be corrected before launch... unfortunatly the game does randomly crash with access violations even before yesterday's patch...but only once or twice a day for me.

I agree, please push it back until the crashes are fixed and realistic balancing/cost tweaks are in good order. Some city/suberbs maps too? :P

Honestly I didnt have any problems until just yesterday (.26). This is one of the smoothest running games I have played in a long time.

There is no way they would release without fixing the net code bug in the last patch.
No need to worry.

I could not be more pleased with the way the deves handled the beta and a release a day early
BRAVO
