Actually, they should be fixed. They've patched the game a long time ago and since then noone reported any issues if I remember correctly.
Does anyone of you guys have a slow internet connection and an old computer?

not to my knowledge.

im playing on a 2012 macbook pro, my friends on custom built pc (i7 i believe) and the other one of my friends on an alienware laptop (i7 also)

internet is broadband all of us.

according to what i've read, we should be able to play without desync.

we did have a skype call going on , a 3 way call.

maybe that had something to do with it ?
but im not too sure since we can play other games fine with the same call going on ..

No, desyncs mostly have been caused by: Playing against the AI and playing crossplattform (i.e. having some Windows user and some Mac or Linux user) .. if it only happened once, it might have been just bad luck. There's not much you could do anyway ..

actually it happened to us twice.

we played two games and it happened on both.
:?

so..yeah...
i remember from the old days, sometimes routers -especially crap routers- would drop packets in order to maintain speed in order to uphold quality of service rules.

since i dont know my friends routers performance -or lack thereof- i can't be sure if its just an isolated incident or not.

Can you try to avoid cross-plattform playing? I know, this is a very unwelcome suggestion , but we'd see if cross-plattform is the reason .. While I can't deny that it might be the router, most desyncs are caused by the reasons I mentioned above.

The problem is, there are not many people having this problem (you and your friends) and to fix this a lot of time and efforts by several developers has to be deployed (last time it took a few months to find and fix the problem if I remember that correctly) - therefore, it's very unlikely that a fix will be released, I'm sorry.

i am sorry as well, since we are new players we decided to start at the beginning of the Wargame Series, and plan to move on to the other games.
i really hope its just an isolated thing.

we'll see.

For the history of desyncs: WEE suffered the most, it waaaay better in WAB (as the netcode in general) and in WRD .. well, we're at the very beginning, no real issues in beta though.

Can you then try to play without AI? Not in general, just a few test games (just spam units around etc.) to see if it's AI related ..

playing without AI goes fine.
i'm very much inclined to believe it is AI related.
