Discuss planes loadouts!

In what year does WALB take place ? It can deeply alter loadouts of many planes, especially for F-16C ('80s was an important decade for the Falcon: introducing of the -C version Block 25; later Blocks such as 30 and 40 were developped from 85 to 90 basically).

The campaign is set in fall 1985, but the game takes some liberties with history, particularly in multiplayer.

Also, are there different versons loadouts ? I mean a SEAD version, strike/CAS, DCA..

I'm not sure this loadout (it seems to be Shturms pods) is the best you can choose; Ka50s were mainly fitted with Vikhrs (even if almost not used in combat..), in pods of 6.

Well, that was the very first concept before the 1st beta. It was like, igla and S-13(122mm rockets).
But in first beta, they had igla and Kh-25. And in 2nd, I'm not sure what they'll have for their loadout.

Oh, you can be quite sure I have informed MadMatt of their typical loadout on several occasions, in addition to suggestions regarding what their capabilities would be (with regards to W:EE stats, anyway).

So, you are saying, Ka50 will have 'Vikhr' as their loadout in release version?
But I think I heard madmat saying they don't want another hi-end gunship which is not that different from Havok.

Not at all, only that MadMatt is aware of the "proper" loadout.

well that would be a shame since Russian helicopters are conceived in that optic.

I know Ka-50 is capable of carrying Kh-25ML and Iglas (also R-60/R-73) but as said before I didn't find any documents assuming that they had that loadout in operations. I only know that very few Vikhrs were fired in Chechnya, the other weaponry being rockets.

Do you have any docs about that ? I would be very interested

The USMC Super Cobra with I-TOW and AIM9M sidewinders is going to be a nasty little bastard I think.
