Game does not tell the player what veterancy means

Postby Dreepa » Sat 11 May 2013 14:32

So, Wargame is a game full of stats and numbers and mechanics. Endless spreadsheets for units.
However, if a new player wants to get an idea about the veterancy feature, he has no clue at all.

You are asked to make a choice what kind of experience level your troops should have, when creating a deck, yet there is not a single word about what this is affecting and what the benefit is.

To increase the accessibilty of the game in that regard, I would suggest a tooltip over the veterancy category, or something like that.

It would be cool if on the unit card it would show the difference. Like if a unit had a few chevrons, its accuracy would look like "8 (+4)"

+1 and the more support we can get for this the better. Total war manages as do most other games now.

I disagree, veterancy is (imho) supposed to be the "people aspect" which should be a slightly less transparent factor then unit stats (just like morale).

So NO INFORMATION AT ALL on game mechanics, means it is "slighly less transparent"? What a definition...

I would say it has the transparency of a brick wall.
