 Yes and thats why it should be forbidden?

I turned down to Mid and no Antialaising, no shadows, even my pc gets everything on high. I tested maxed out settings in skirmish, gone fine and looks great.

In Multiplayer i realy have not the time to watch the impressive video engine.

The Radeon HD 7870 is a good card.

Yeah I'm running a slightly overclocked 660Ti MSI Power Edition and I still get pretty noticeable framerate drops into the 15-20 range when napalm or smoke hits. Unless you're running a 690 or some ridiculous SLI'd abomination you're probably going to see a little slowdown in areas like that, which isn't a big deal considering you can just zoom out and it's back to normal, but still something the devs might want to consider optimizing.

They really should optimize it. Somehow it makes little sense to me how one explosion can have such a great impact on the FPS when the explosion effect itself seems to not be the best, nor the most effectful. It's good still, not calling it bad but in other games you get more awesome looking explosions and they don't have an impact on the FPS at all.

My PC is good. God people, instead of going like "rofl your pc is bullshtie mine is great" just think for a moment before you reply. I don't have some bullcrap PC or anything. I am just wondering if those certain moments in battle also drop your FPS. Overall the game runs perfectly fine with most things set on max. And I didn't set it there, AutoSet did.

Not new, and i think it's an engine limitation.

yup, i'm playing on asus 7870hd and smoke is just making my computer run like t-62 in swamp =.=
same was with european escalation though. i guess it just has to be like that. i tested my comp on several other games and even if i can run the game at ulti high details, all smoke/particle effects just make game unplayable.

Yeah, it really is the smoke. No matter what kind. Be it the smoke that comes when vehicle explode, the smoke from napalm, the deployable smokescreens, etc etc etc. It's always the smoke. I can't look at a big napalm drop when there is a lot of smoke, but when the smoke fades and only the fire is left I can zoom into this ocean of hellfire still get at least 22 fps.
