bingo fuel

Postby chestus » Mon 13 May 2013 23:31

okay one more remark about our dear jets.
they need more fuel its nearly impossible to fly over most maps from edge to edge.
most planes will not make it and bingo evac away, in case of the A-10 it will not get further then half most maps.
it is out of fuel before it can shoot its "now"6 mavericks.

Really? A-10 can't reach further than half of most maps?

How do you explain this?

Why was this thread necessary? You really couldn't just test something out yourself before rushing to make a thread about something you had a gut feeling wasn't right?

Yeah this is not true at all, even low fuel jets like the starfighter can cross most maps with ease.

A-10 will in fact not fly in a straight line from one side of Ragnarok to the other without bingo fuel. Been there, done that.

Ragnarok is not "most of the maps", it's the biggest map of the game and there is enough aerial corridor to capture on the way to don't have to start from your first territories...

So, if one side hold the flanks and the other the middle, the second one is not supposed to be able to use planes efficiently ?

@Mr Bims
900 l left out of 5000. I don't know if it will be able to make two passes at that point before bingo.

Let's be honest guys ; without considering if it's a good or a bad thing, some planes have truly atrocious autonomy.

On a sidenote, I would like to see the fuel displayed in time for planes (since they don't really stop), because the remaining time is kind of hard to figure with the actual system and can be a bother if you want to attack with a near empty plane.

Exactly. I would even say that take all the aerials corridors to prevent the enemies to use their plane is a very fun tactic.

And come on, just face it, there are only 2 cases where you can use your plane in the ennemy spawn : either it's the end of the game and you just do it for fun, so it's not very important, either it's not the end of the game and you're gonna be shotdown.
