Swedish AA

Postby Dimonay » Mon 20 May 2013 15:59

So I am posting this because Eugen just nerfed a lot of Infrared sams and manpads. This made radar AA much better and with that also made SEAD a lot better

But this is a huge nerf for Sweden as they do not have radar sams but just radar guns (which are not that good).
I would have been quite ok with this if the patch also contained some repricing. BUt there was not so I am going to point out what I think is just a bit wrong

The Swedish LVRB 701 cost 15 points more then the Norwegian NM195 while they have the same AA weapon

So what makes the LVRB 701 better then the NM195 well it has a MMG, it is small vs normal. But it is 20 KM/H slower and has 230 KM longer operational range (20 more and it would be double)

Then the Chapparal (the best one) probably under priced. But right now it cost the same as the LVRB 701 but is just much better at it's role of taking down flying things. Expect for HP, size and amounts of missiles the chap is just quite a lot better at everything.

I am not sure if Sweden is playable right now it was barley ok before will have to do some tests first. I do not even think that the LVRB 701 is wort 20 points right now I mean bombers have double the range :|

Not that it can do a lot :| Maybe stun a bit but I have never seen them kill anything. But yeah Sweden's situation is maybe a bit better as we have better AA planes.

More or less it should be cheaper and bombs should not have double the range of the RBS-70

The UK have the Raiper, costing more then the Chap and dealing less out, not only that, it cant even hit out to kill heli spies or attack choppers even though its "radar", its just simply outclassed by everything in its price range (hell the kub costs 5 points more but is infinantely better).

Not only the Swedish got hit here, hell no way i am deploying any british armor in my british deck from here on in, everything is infantry based for the simple fact that i cant defend against any attack choppers. At least my swedish deck has some benifits to its armor usage to negate this "fear" in me.

I know that this did not only hurt Sweden but at least the UK got some range on there AA. I don't think that bombers have double the range of the rapier :?: But yes repricing of the AA is very important not only for Sweden, Norway or the UK but for everyone and essential for the balance of the game

Do you guy's even read anything but the title?
This is not about Swedish AA just being bad but there being just obvious price balance issues like the fact that the Chapparel cost the same as the LVRB 701 while being a lot better.

Swedens Fighters/Bombers are terrible. Flat out terrible. Their fighter bomber misses every missile shot unless they are Vet+, their fighters are average when it comes down to Air vs. air. The only thing Sweden has going for it, is it's Bugged out artillery(that fires sideways) and it ATGM infantry. Other then that, Sweden is terrible.
