What are we talking about here? Shooting the rear of a tank is already possible and simulated in game. It will kill or disable tanks most of the time.
Surprise, it needs you to be behind the tank. Incredible. If the only thing you see is the front of the tank, you either shoot the front or don't shoot.
Also, the probability of critical hits raises when you shoot at very close range, as the CTH gets close to 100%.

Once again, LAWs do their job, but seeing that most people won't send their tanks to the enemy in reverse, you either need to micro a little bit to have a squad flank the tanks (in forests), or be reasonable and admit there are reliable ways to kill tanks and sending rifle platoons at it is not one of them.

LAWs do their job well, they infantry just doesnt...
Yet...people gripe about the 'inability' of LAWs to kill tanks, something they were not designed for.

zomg very funny
it may destroy your world but:

a) law, pzfst 44, rpg7 and the rest of the weapons are capable of killing tanks but yeah right all those nations equipped their infantry with totally useless weapons to fight mechanized enemys so damn right you are.

b) how to circle the enemy tank in this game in a village with insta panickied standart infantry in which thread it is about.

c) only because its called light it isnt useless, sometimes the term light means the ability to carry it around. for example in some armys a light machine gun is a mg on bipod a heavy mg is the same is on tripod, so the light mg shoots now slower or has a lesser calibre. its like to say light infantry consists only of 80 pound heavy soldiers who carry only a pistol.

so all your arguments revolve around all the infantry weapons for tank defense where useless, why having infantry then at all, tanks are able to kill everything everywhere under every circumstances despite reality says something different and some troll posts.

Why don't you provide a few in-game replays of this useless infantry you speak about?
Considering your tone and arguments, such results should be easy enough to replicate?

Because Raytheon and Rafael like to get paid.

Rafael also makes Trophy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtMgnRMIspQ The T80s in this game work as if they have that already.

Infantries in buildings/forest when panicked should go into some sort of hiding mode. When infantries are hiding they become very hard to detect and very hard to kill (so your opponent can't be sure if they are dead yet) with significantly decreased ROF (or maybe can't fire at all). During hiding their morales also recover quite a bit faster. However the stealth and defensive bonus does not apply to CQC or small arms attacks so other infantries will be able to hunt them down easily.

If infantries are out in the open then they cannot hide at all when panicked.

My impression is that something like this is implemented already. Stunned/routed infantry seems nearly impossible to detect (even in an open field) until it recovers from that condition.
