Make AI games harder.

Every patch = same response...

What difficulty do you play?

I have to agree, the AI really isn't very challenging, and though I can now determine what deck they use at least, it's still a bit of a crap shoot.

They often don't use air power much (though often the French mechanized brigade spams helicopters), and rarely even bother to capture all of the zones on 'their side' of the map. Nine times out of ten I see a big AI rush to some center point, which I can destroy pretty easily. After that, they trickle in a few units at a time and rarely make big pushes, while overusing artillery and under utilizing airpower and tanks. Consequently their income is crap because they don't have points left over for CVs.

I regularly play on hard/very hard and won't lose unless I'm doing something silly, or trying out an experimental Polish Cat C marine deck or something.

Far too aggressive, not enough emphasis on combined arms.

It will take them a while to make a good AI sorry but make artaffishel inteligance is realy hard so guys you will need to play with what you have.

If you ask so you campain will be better then just play vs some 1.

Of course our Israeli friend kind of hits at the crux of the issue. If you want decent opponents, you can't rely on AI.

Still, good AI would be nice. This is just a really complex game so to program in all of the nuances, when most human players don't even understand, must be a real challenge. I give Eugen full credit for making a great game, and the hard work they do.

Meh, I was playing a 4v4 comp stomp against medium computers and was getting attacked by 4 or 5 planes at once.

Maybe with higher numbers of computers. I generally only play with 1-2 computers at a time, and in my experience they'll buy a couple of planes, but get them shot down very quickly and then never replace them. Probably also as a function of lack of income.

It took a team at University of California: Berkeley two years (if memory serves) to come up with a Starcraft AI capable of routinely defeating players, and it only does that because it's capable of micromanaging a specific unit in extreme detail.

I don't think Eugen have the resources to create an AI that can pose a real threat to players without doing what they've done already, make it cheat.
Anecdotes do not count for game balance.

Avoid playing the AI in destruction; they aren't very cost efficient in their strategies. However in conquest they're an absolute charm to play against.

I have found them to use planes frequently and en masse, at least depending on the deck or decks they field. The AI is challenging enough for me, since I'm not a terribly skilled player, although I can usually beat it. But it would be nice if it behaved more sensibly at times.

On a side note, in a 2v2 SP skirmish I played tonight, my fraternal socialist comrades from the DDR spawned FJB-40 in Mi-35s and were flying them around in an antitank role without ever dismounting the superb infantry they carried, which suggests that even the AI thinks East Germany needs stand-alone Hinds.
