As people said, play TD.

Also the trick to winning is teamwork and coordination. If you have 2 guys pushing a sector defended by a single player you can almost always win. You only come off worse than the defender if your attack failed. As long as you succeed and rout the defenders you usually comes out even/better. Now you have more income than your opponent, you attack with greater numbers (with your allies of course) and overwelm the next sector etc until you win.

IMO TD is better than conquest because the winning team keeps going, whereas conquest is more back and forth over the same spec of land. If you are turtling in TD you are playing it wrong (unless you are using Canada...).

EDIT: Also another problem with conquest as it is is the low income rate. After the initial engagement neither side can do anything or around 10 minutes where you both bank units. And then the losing side attacks, and regardless of the results, the 10 minute wait happens again... process repeat until game is finished. If Eugen upped the income a bit it would definitely encourage more action.

Also conquest doesn't get you anywhere near the epicness of a proper total destruction battle. :) Agreed that a point cap makes destruction a bit too passive, but total destruction removes that issue.

In Total Destruction you need to control 50% or more or you definitely will be crushed by an overwhelming force.

Many maps have a big sector in the middle and you cannot win without it so you simply have to attack in Total Destruction.

The solution to Destruction mode is Conquest V2.

Total Destruction No time limit is the only way to ensure that you don't "camp" because your up by 1k points and have NOTHING to gain by attacking (because you don't when theirs a time limit and your up by that much). It's how a battle really is, you attack, and then whoever runs out of men first or takes the field is the winner. Rinse repeat until the map is cleansed of your enemy, or if your losing, make epic last stands that would be written about in the history books.

Oh god TD no time limit...

The ridiculous things that happen when people run out of units and logs...
If there's two kinds of players, those that like challenges and those that want a fair game, pubstomps should make everyone happy.

Also, it does become a campfest of sorts anyway, as the deck availability means people will often rather sit there than actually risk losing their units...

Not to mention the hilarity that ensues when people hide their CVs in forests.

Yeah, the ultimate camp -> literally take your CV to camping. Solution: screw the stupidity that is destruction. Play conquest.

Yeah you "Conquest Fanboys" never bring a fight to the end, which is the last enemy base.
Go have fun with your unfinished business.
