That was back then. Maybe some of them still haven't gotten the memo that the laser guided bomb no longer specifically targets the top armor.

I generally expect a Rapier to outrange a Konkon.

Oh wait.

Which shouldn't have been changed. Or 2000 lbs of metal and HE should be enough to kill or heavily damage a tank even if it isn't a direct hit.
When in doubt blame UGBEAR.

It wasn't changed on purpose, that was just a side effect of removing the weapon's ability to track units that had lost LOS. Trying to fix it back to hit top armor was deemed way too much work to be worth it, since it already took so much time figuring out how to fix the LOS issue without making the weapon [SA]. In one Marshal test version the weapon was [SA], and it basically meant the Nighthawk died every time it was used.

So what happens now when a Nighthawk drops its bomb and the target disappears?

What i dislike with the Nighthawk is currently one thing:

You see a mob of vehicles -> send in for example a Starfighter F-104G and the enemy mob is disappearing because no LOS -> the Starfighter will still bomb the column you ordered to bomb.

If you do the same thing with the Nighthawk it will just fly by. Before it just bombed the old place like it should.

Drops on the last known position.
Anecdotes do not count for game balance.

Lol, the F-104 will only drop in this scenario if it's already begun it's run.

For me it is often just flying by and "normal" bombers drop on the last known position like the Starfighter. strange thing
