IIRC, they're against them because they would only be on when it is beneficial for the police. Now I think the problem here is the presumption of guilt. I think that if there's a dispute involving the police with the civilian and there are contradicting stories and the cam turned out to be off/malfunctioning, then the police should be assumed to be lying. You might say that would hinder the police's ability to perform it's duties, but really, police needs a lot of equipment in functioning order and part of their duties is to make sure that the equipment functions properly.
Yeah, that's the general vibe I pick up off it as well. The shit on their website lists "to prevent surivillence/spying in neighborhoods" or what not. SMH
