Oh yes, they were in use in the 1960s and 1970s, as static pillboxes along the Soviet-Chinese border starting in the early '60s and as late as 1978 in the Far Eastern military districts in inactive reserves. But the very concept of a heavy tank was obsolete by the late 1950s-early 1960s, precluding their use in a NATO vs. Warsaw Pact conflict even in 1975. They could've been used if such a war became protracted, but let's get real here; you'd be seeing nukes dropping all over the world before T-10 tanks from the Far East military districts shifted their butts into Germany.
The IS-7 wasn't even accepted for production. You haven't been playing too much World of Tanks, have you?
