Heavy tanks = boring

Postby JimHatama » Fri 11 May 2012 20:54

ok I just played 4 games in a raw and in every one of them there was nothing but leo2 and t80u. this is just boring. say good bye to unit variations no heavy tanks in deck? well u cant stop other heavies and also u cant attack. I dont see how it was a problem before patch - u could use any unit to win and u need skill to win with heavies. I dont see why so many units ingame actually 70% of them useless now / Imo patches should make maximum amount of units usable and not the way around

People who "spam" heavy tanks have weak flanks. always and always.

Spamming heavy tanks is something you need to adapt and learn with.

Although i do agree with some nerfs for heavy tanks. maybe slightly less range, and maybe more important, less mobility (speed) or heavely nerf there speed off the road. problem with some heavy tanks ( t80's, abrams, leo 2's) is that they are so quick, that they can pick there battles and kite other tanks.

I agree with the off-road speed nerf for heavy tanks. Range nerf? no.

hehe, i forgot aswell, but normal speed is the one displayed, you get buffed speed when on the road (it's static infact)

regardless, im no expert, but googling real quick states that nerfing t80u's and leopard 2a4's top speed is realistic, and should be an easy sell to all the pro realism people.

Just flank them or avoid fighting them. Then they're just a big investment not doing anything.

Not again......

1. Players narrowed down what units are the most competitive in their role, and use them a lot. Which of course leaves other units from making it in any deck.

2. Would you be more happy when a couple 30 years old T-55s or VTS1 could outgun a multi million dollar beast meant to fight other tanks?

3. Use search function
Perlen vor die Säue.

I don't like it when heavy tanks make specialist anti tank defenses (ATGM) useless.

Maybe for the sake of balance what needs to happen is tank rounds need to be made less effective at killing infantry?

Can't agree, especially not with the excellent AT infantry pact gets for only 10, it compliments rushing them in large number to enemy tanks.

How many dedicated anti personnel rounds did 120mm gun have in the cold war? Compare this with the 125mm HE-FRAG.
