The "Wargame: AirLand Battle" is clearly evolution of WWE
The main difference is the add of air units.
750 different unit means even more hardcore while we are struggling to pass the 500 players

Why don't publish a payable DLC after all WEE is 6 month years old.

Don't misunderstad me I'm happy to use aiplane but the idea of new game when wee has not develop his potential, disturbe me litte bit.

A DLC 3 is still under way.
And besides by the time this "sequel" comes out WEE will be more than a year old.
A year used to be a normal laps of time between a game and an expansion/stand-alone before DLC's replaced them...

Are they hinting at a global strategic map?

I think you could see this as EE developing up to its potential. I'm guessing the reason they're doing a standalone is that it's much easier to market - make it require EE and pretty much only the existing player base will buy it while if it's standalone you'll probably gain much more new players.

They could even sell it for the price of a standard expansion so it'd make no difference to old players whether it was an expansion or a standalone. I really hope they go for a lower price point now - the 40 euro price tag kept a bunch of people I know from buying the game. Anecdotal evidence, I know.

Thanks for the reply
I really appreciate the Eugene effort and I my hope is an a growing community
Considering Airland as an expansion/stand-alone that will mantain level/friends/Clans of Wee it makes more sense.

Hell yeah! Finally! Finally Mi24 can shoot on the move and they look so much more realistic!

I WILL buy it no matter what, W:EE was already the best purchase in this year. The only sad thing is that it will be released in 2013... I found out about W:EE week before release, so lucky.

I wonder if there it will be a mode for people who buy W:ALB to play multi games with people who decide to stick with W:EE...

So awesome... just remeber: this time proper intro and good PACT trailer...

I wonder if the engine altitude issue would be solved? If planes would be shootable by the land based anti air? If you would make some effort and do the weapons MWM WiC style.
