ATGM's like the Milan are guided by a human operator, yeah IRL the accuracy is probably a little higher but Eugen do their best to try and simulate stuff like losing LOS etc. The range on wire guided ATGM's is about right, their limited by the length of wire, this is one of the drawbacks of the Milan IRL.
LGB's are guided by a computer and a laser. They rarely, if ever, miss. Nerfing the accuracy wasn't the answer, upping the cost / increase reloading time was. But I do agree with your sentiment, we shouldn't knee jerk react and instantly revert the change to the old ways.
