Czech is everybody, babe. ;)

But yeah, the infantry ATGM situation is rather grim for RD.

HrcAk47 wrote:Good post. It's missing the first attempt at AK-74 - the Type 88 (with variants 88-1 side folding stock and 88-2, top folding stock).

I strongly propose "upgunning" the North Korea with Soviet, rather than Chinese anti-tank weaponry.

Yes, it is a rather short list, it was compact so i summarized it. But i don't think assault rifles would be a huge issue in game since they are farily evenly standardized.

I also agree with NK going Soviet style for their infantry AT options. It won't create a big issue in SovKor and RD get some decent options as alternatives to Type-69-I/III which should go to Chinese infantry.

For their RPGs, I propose:

RPG-2
RPG-7 - Type 68
RPG-7V - Type 68-1
RPG-7VR - Type 68-3

And for flavor/variety - RPG-29, which can be called Type 92 (rushed introduction from Soviet stock, second korean war, yadda yadda yadda).

Also, fully support the grenade launcher fist team.
The SEAD never bothered me anyway.

SMB Yugoslavia Retexture Mod, now released, v.1.0

Would be cool, however it is not a grenade for RPG-7, which is the primary launhcer NK uses.

I'll prolly update the first post with some changed NK infantry suggestions, primary about RPGs.

For 45 points Bastion look likes free bonus to tank (like malutka on ot-64 or atgm on heavy Japanese IFV).

it is.A 45pt glass cannon with a Halloween ATGM,yet i still prefer using PTZ-89 as the glass cannon FSV,simply because of “vehicle tab”

I have them both. Cause PTZ can't swim.

So after looking at the NK small arms for a bit, i'd like to update the first post with these changes:

- Type-73 switches ingame place with RPD
- Jeogockdae '90: Type-68 AR; RPG-7V; Type-73 (belt-fed)
- Yuckjeondae '75: Scorpion SMG; RPG-7V; Type-73 (belt-fed)
- Yuckjeondae '90: AKS-74U; RPG-7VR; RPK
- Bibanchunpo reroled into standard RedFor RPG-7V FIST

As i mentioned yesterday, i agree on NK should go for Soviet RPG grenades as their AT option, since it is more likely for them to get Soviet equipment support in the 80s, at the time it is rather unlikely for China to supply NK with large amounts of newly developed Type-69-I/III

As for the type-73 mg, look at this site:
http://armamentresearch.com/north-korea ... ria-yemen/

It should sport the 20 hits burst like other belt fed mg. The RPD is simply too old and most importantly in the eyes of NK too weak (7,62x39mm ammo) for a mg. Due to the prevelance of Type-73 and the lack of viable alternatives in the KPA after 1975, it can technically be made the sole mg for NK, however since we don't want to waste a mg already in game, just give the RPD to Bochongsu with stabilizer and CQC as a flavor option. The Type-73 can be made into a weapon for shock and elite NK infantry, stabilizer and CQC included.

No "new" weapons, even if they are technically ingame, since i don't know how eugen sees it, like when PKM with a different name becomes a new weapon/unit. Otherwise we can just give NK Soviet stuff and be done with it.

So in short the considerations about NK smallarms are:

- NK goes complete Soviet style in their production/procurement of RPG-7 grenades
- RPD is a very old weapon in KPA
- Type-73 can be belt fed and should get 20 round burst like other guns with belts
- NK favors mg with 7,62x54mm ammo, which the Type-73 carries, but the RPD don't
- No PKM aka Type-82 due to the unclear nature of what constitutes as new unit by eugen
- PKM is quite shitty anyway
- PKM was low production compared to Type-73 which is widly used in KPA
