This movements took part after Ukranian forces deployed in Kherson preparing to attack Crimea before it's independance referendum. So it's just a matter of caution. I don't belief russian and ukrainians will fight each other - it would be a civil war as many russian and ukrainians are divided only by their citisenship.

It'd be best not to call this a war until an official declaeration of war has actually been announced.

There's no official announcements of a war after World War II. UN prohibit wars, there's just 'conflicts'.

Putin may sense that it is quite historic opportunity, as by now its clear that Ukrainian army is in very poor shape, and west is not willing to fight over Ukraine.

I can't remember a single official declaration of war since end of WW II. Maybe there have been 1-2 but generally its not done nowadays anymore.

(The puppet) Denmark declared war on Libya not long ago. In the Iraq war they sent a single submarine to help the illegal acts there.

Are Russia's allies Belarus and Syria sending anything to Crimea to help the illegal acts there?

It's not a war until someone levels a gun and pulls the trigger.
