Changing the weapons loads on Ninja

Postby Arcadian1978 » Tue 21 Apr 2015 16:54

Hello,

Would it be possible for someone to change the weapon load on the Japanese Ninja to fit the anti-tank role? Personally I'd like to see all anti-helicopter helicopters role changed to anti-tank but if someone could pretty please change the Ninja's role that would be very much appreciated

The oh1 has only ever carried as far as I am aware self defence air to air missiles it is a scout helicopter not an attack helicopter.

Also it helps to give a reason for a change such as realism or gameplay

Game play more than anything else, feels a shame to let such a nice helicopter be so limited in weaponry.

Just saying, a lot of modders would rather hear "How should I do this" rather than "Can someone do this for me pretty please". Although I have to admit even I have used it sometimes.

Anyway, I hear that some helicopters are harder to mod that others, not so much in the weaponry aspect, but the model. If you have a PC and want to learn to mod, I'll be happy to teach you.

oh-1 doesn't have model issues because it doesn't have the missiles modeled on pylons like other helicopters.

Noob, I understand what you're saying and agree. However while I like to think my PC skills are above average, I look at some of the modding tools and quiver with fear. If there is an "idiots guide" then I'm all for it. However as of tomorrow I will be away for a week on holiday. Perhaps when I return I can take you up on your offer?

For changing the OH-1 weapons, you just have to exchange the TAmmunition file in the WeaponManager with the one of the ATGM you want to give it. For further information, I recommend you to read Soundwolf's (I guess it was him) tutorial on weapons.
