Instead of artificially dividing tanks into Superheavy, Heavy, Medium and Light largely according to generation, you actually get to see those weight classes reflecting a doctrinal reality.
Instead of seeing a dozen SAMS with an infinitesimal fraction of their real life engagement range inexplicably only a kilometer or two behind the front lines, we have our AA halftracks and flakpanzers and so on also reflecting a doctrinal reality.
Instead of seeing aircraft which should be flying scores of thousands of feet high inexplicably doing low-altitude flybys at inexplicably low speeds, we have our prop planes flying at relatively realistic altitudes and speeds.
Helicopter AI doesn't matter anymore because you wouldn't have any.
Balancing becomes infinitely easier when you have detailed descriptions of penetration, armour thickness, armour angles, rounds per minute, etc., instead of making assumptions about systems which remain classified.
Artillery being so close to the front also makes slightly more sense.
Cluster artillery isn't a problem anymore.
Artillery sniping also isn't a problem, owing to a lack of next gen FCS.
AGM sniping heavy tanks doesn't happen; throw a P-47 with rockets at it and watch as its optics are buggered and its tracks thrown, then push up AT guns or other tanks, rather than just going "well I've got as many cards of jet as you do of tank, so whatever."
Oh, and we won't be seeing T-34's beside T-90's.
It would just generally fix a lot of problems the game has
