POLL: Where would YOU like to see wargame taken next?

Postby integ3r » Sat 20 Aug 2016 19:21

I'm sure Eugen is thinking about what they want to do with the series, but I want to know what the community thinks.

I think current day would be quite popular, but others have told me they think WW2 would be the most wished for.
So, why not hit up this poll and let everyone know?

Select ALL that apply. You are not limited to 1 choice.

Now that I see this, a post WW3 game with fictional units, yet (probably) no laser guns etc. at the same time + Wargame mechanics sounds very appealing to me...

Too few options. I wish Cold War but not fanstasy and '90s mix. Classical Cold War from late '60 to mid '80s.

Damn, I thought about adding it but I forgot. I added it now.

Cold War, please. Pick one year and stick to it, none of this trying to balanced '50s units vs '90s units or advanced prototypes for some but not even in-service equipment for others.

Any era other than Cold War and it stops being Wargame, IMO.

Poll seems to allow me to vote multiple times, is that intentional? (Not multiple options, multiple votes.)

Lol you're right, I changed it. Strange the limit wasn't on by default.

It is what aoa should have been. Or what I was hoping for.

Well depends on when you were hoping for it.

It was already clear very early that it would have barely any commonalities with WG.

Definitely a solid +1 on idea: would be very neat and new to see a take on it perhaps like the Wasteland campaign from EE, with a lot of ragged versions of Cold War tech.

Then again, it definitely wouldn't be Wargame so much as Twilight 2000 with Wargame mechanics and scale.
